Introducing West One Music's new sound effects albums

27 May 2022

Out now on our West One Music label is the brand new Creator’s Toolkit, a series with four functional albums with music and sound effects, designed especially for editors. This series is made for editors that work across a huge variety of multimedia, to make it easier to navigate and create high-quality sound design. These albums can help elevate your soundtrack for any type of media, from promos, podcasts, corporate videos, vlogs, brand campaigns, social campaigns, TV programming and beyond.

The first two albums Creator’s Toolkit: Drones and Atmospheres and Creator’s Toolkit: Transitional Effects are now available to listen to, download and sync. The last two albums in the Creator’s Toolkit will be available on the catalogue next month.

Our first instalment features a collection of drones and atmospheres ranging through different styles and moods, all united in their light, sparse and neutral character. This release features contemporary, minimalist tones, happy and uplifting, and darker, investigative drones as well.

This is a large multi-writer album, with each composer delivering their own unique approach to the brief, as well as offering a huge range of moods and instrumentation variety across the project.

The second instalment focuses on light sound effects that are aimed at reality TV and online content. There’s a huge variety of sounds from whooshes, hits, rolls, risers, clicks, pops and suck backs to name a few.

This one is written by Liam Iliffe and Luke Brown, who have previously worked on West One Music Group releases on our Electronic Dance Series label.
