This is an extraordinary album featuring songs and guitar melodies written by Pat West before his untimely death. Pat's friend, composer Diogo Vasconcellos, has taken these ideas and turned them into completed tracks for the album.
The album includes vocal and instrumental tracks, showcasing Pat’s love for American music. Atmospheric guitars, soulful vocals, and warm brass are featured throughout.
This album comes courtesy of composer Andrew Cowton. These tracks were written for documentaries telling harrowing tales, and the music needed to enhance the emotional aspects. Poignant piano, moving strings, and atmospheric synths do a wonderful job of achieving these intentions.
THE CARNIVAL OF LIFETHE ORCHESTRAL KALEIDOSCOPE 3(TSH 300, 23/10/24)
TSH’s 300th album is The Orchestral Kaleidoscope 3. Abbey Road’s prolific Sound Engineer Simon Rhodes has created another sequel to his Orchestral Kaleidoscope series and has teamed up with The Scottish National Orchestra to make a bunch of colourful, inspiring instrumentals that cover a range of moods and themes.
The tracks showcase emotive strings, poignant brass, reflective piano, playful woodwind and more.
The Essence of BeingLIMINAL SPACES(TSH 304, 20/01/25)
Liminal Spaces is a collection of both tranquil and foreboding electronic instrumental cues.
Written by composer Samuel Worskett, the tracks were created with the Liminal Space genre in mind. Various synths work together to produce a sense of solitude, whether they take an uplifting, aerial approach or a more mysterious, sinister approach.
