Along with A+E Global Media, we are excited to announce that a track created at our Artist Camp in New York last year is featured in the anticipated new Duck Dynasty series from A&E.
A customised version of the track, “Wanna Go Fast”, a country jam with a distinctly hip-hop slant written and performed by artists Alexza, HUSH and V-Notes, is the main theme tune in Duck Dynasty: The Revival.
In October of 2024, West One Music jointly hosted a three-day songwriting camp at Cutting Room Studios in New York City with A+E Global Media™ (home to A&E®, HISTORY®, Lifetime® and Vice®). It highlighted fourteen pop, hip hop and R&B artists and producers from our diverse roster.
“There is such a rich pool of talented artists and producers in New York,” said Jennifer Insogna, A+E Networks Head of Music 360. “The camp was a great way of joining the dots between the talent and A+E’s amazing portfolio of brands.”
The artists worked on tracks for two albums on West One Music’s Real Again Records label, their joint venture label with A+E Global Media: Country Heat and East Coast.
“Working with V-Notes and Alexza was so seamless,” says HUSH. “I couldn’t have asked for a better team to collaborate with and outfit the song for the show.”
Thanks to the creative environment of the artist camp, the trio produced the perfect track to introduce the next chapter of Duck Dynasty and the Robertson family.
“We really created something special collectively, and I’m just so grateful for the opportunity. It feels surreal,” says Alexza. “I had no idea the song would grow into what it’s become. As a fan of the show, I couldn’t be more excited for the premiere! ”
Duck Dynasty: The Revival premiered on A&E on June 1st 2025.
