Lavelle is a UK-based independent singer/songwriter from the historic steel city of Sheffield. She is quickly cementing herself in South Yorkshire’s history as one of the North’s hottest exports and a critically acclaimed one to watch. Lavelle’s first three releases,” Baby Boy,”” Honest,” and” Number 42,” all debuted at Number 1 on the UK iTunes RnB/Soul charts, a feat never seen before from a northern artist.

With her seamless songwriting ability, Lavelle has racked up an impressive catalogue of sync placements across Channel 4, Netflix, and the BBC. She dropped her first official single in July 2023 and has since performed at numerous festivals across the UK, securing brand collaborations with heritage brand Ed Hardy and the Hilton DoubleTree hotel chains.

At the start of 2024, Lavelle truly put on the map by participating in the MOBO Awards 2024 in her hometown. The rising star was called up as one of Toddla T’s top picks of talent from the city to perform as part of an Allstar Sheffield line-up on “Steel City Sheffield All Stars Riddim.”

Adding to her rapidly increasing list of accolades, Lavelle has been bestowed BBC 1Xtra’s Track of the Week t1Xtra’s 2024 with singles “Honest” and “Number 42.” She also co-hosted the BBC 1Xtra International Women’s Day special and was featured as the station’s BBC Introducing Next Up artist.

Extending the support beyond radio, Lavelle was also called up to headline BBC 1Xtra’s stage at the Great 1Xtra’sfestival and represent BBC Introducing at the historic Hundred cricket tournament in Leeds.

In addition to support across BBC’s national & local statBBC’s Lavelle has seen extensive national and regional radio support, including plays across Capital Xtra and Kiss FM and consistent support across DSPs, receiving extensive editorial playlisting across Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer and Amazon Music, with Amazon Music’s +44 team naming herMusic’s’Up & Calling’ artist of Au’ust and Deez’r presenting Velle as the cover of their ‘RnB UK’ playlist.

Most recently, she released her ‘Higher Self’ with West One Music Group.
