NORDIC DRAMA FROM ACCLAIMED SCANDI COMPOSERS

Nordic Drama Score featuring live orchestral strings & gripping sound textures

9 Oct 2025

We are excited to announce our latest Nordic offering on our house label, West One Music, featuring the work of three highly acclaimed and immensely talented Scandinavian composers. Uno Helmersson, Patrik Andrén, and Andreas Hald collaborated on ‘Nordic Drama Score,’ a collection of masterfully crafted tracks that blend the chilling suspense of Nordic Noir with the evocative depth of folk-inspired soundscapes.

This album represents a significant shift from the prevailing minimalistic and ambient trends, opting for richly layered compositions with intricate structures instead of simplicity.

Uno, Patrik, and Andreas have beautifully created atmospheric, deeply layered, and emotionally transportive pieces.

His compositions blend his former training as a jazz musician with a passion for tweaking and patching modular synths. He also explores new ways to play and record organic contemporary instruments, where everything revolves around tone.

Andreas collaborates with music makers from all over the world and has written the score for films, TV series, interactive media, and installations. Some of these productions have received international acclaim, earning nominations for Emmys and Baftas.
